How do I apply?

Applications are open year-round. Whether you are starting fresh or continuing your education, you can apply anytime.

Can I earn a scholarship?

Yes. The LRSC Community College Foundation awards over $540,000 in scholarships each year. One application matches you with all scholarships you are eligible for.

Is there a different application process for international students?

Yes. International students follow a slightly different process. Our International Coordinator is available to help with any questions.

Are there opportunities to work on campus?

Yes. Students can work in a variety of roles, including Office Assistant, Library Aide, Tutor, Barista, Dietary Aide, Mascot, Marketing Assistant, Photographer, Athletic Student Manager, and more.

What activities are available for students on campus?

Resident hall advisors plan events throughout the year, including art sessions, sports tournaments, and themed activities like laser tag nights. The Liquid Bean downtown also hosts student-only events such as comedy shows and puzzle nights, with complimentary drinks provided.

What if I have extensive dietary restrictions?

Our dining staff works to accommodate a wide range of dietary needs and preferences. Substitutions and customized meals are available whenever possible. If you have specific restrictions, the team is open to working with you to find solutions.

Current Students

Do I need to reapply for housing each year?

Yes. Students must reapply for housing annually through Campus Connection. Returning students may also apply to become Resident Hall Assistants (RAs).

Do I need to reapply for scholarships every year?

Yes. A new application is required each year. The scholarship application opens on October 1 for awards in the following academic year.

What is the process for preparing for graduation and receiving my degree?

LRSC holds one commencement ceremony each May. To graduate and participate, students must submit a graduation application and a commencement participation form. The Registrar’s Office can help confirm requirements and guide students through the process.

How do I make sure the Community College Foundation has my correct information?

We appreciate staying connected with our alumni, which requires up-to-date contact details. Please update your information by completing the Contact Information Update Form.

How do I join the 1941 Club?

The 1941 Club allows alumni to support LRSC by donating $19.41 annually, honoring the college’s founding year.

Is there an affordable way to donate?

Yes. In addition to the 1941 Club’s $19.41 annual donation, alumni can contribute any amount at any time. Every gift makes a difference.
