Supporting Well-Being and Campus Safety
LRSC Cares (BIT) Team
The LRSC Cares Team provides early support for students, faculty, and staff whose behavior raises concern for safety or well-being. The team includes representatives from student affairs, counseling, student success, housing, human resources, and faculty. They work together to address situations before they escalate. Anyone on campus is encouraged to report concerning, disruptive, or potentially harmful behavior, even if it does not violate policy. Reports connect individuals to support services and help promote a safer, healthier learning and working environment at LRSC.
What is BIT?
What is BIT?
The Cares Team is a behavioral intervention team at Lake Region State College that ensures a safe, supportive campus environment. The team identifies and assesses concerning behaviors, coordinates appropriate responses, and connects individuals to resources. Though not a disciplinary body, it unites campus staff to intervene early, support those in need, and reduce community risks.
Our goal: Intervene early, connect individuals to help, and keep our campus safe.
