After completing the online application, you will receive an email with instructions on setting up an account in Campus Connection. This online portal gives you access to the following (and much more):
- Check your Application Status and To-Do List
- Sign up for a Registration Day | Register for Classes
- Apply for Housing
- Accept Financial Aid and plan for the semester
- View New Student Orientation Schedule
You have already applied for admission to LRSC, received your acceptance letter, and now you will need to attend a Registration Day. Registration Day is a requirement for ALL NEW students to Lake Region State College. Please note, due to limited space, students must pre-register.

Step One - Claim Your Student ID
In order to apply for housing, you must use your claimed Student ID. Not sure if you have claimed your new Student ID? Click to verify.
Step Two - Apply for Housing
- After claiming/verifying your Student ID, log into Campus Connection.
- Under Self-Service, select On-Campus Housing.
- Follow the prompts to complete your application, or view the instructional video below.
- Please do not use an iPad to apply or Google Chrome as your browser.

What to know about New Student Orientation:
What is new student orientation? It is a series of activities that help new students get to know each other and the many different resources available on our campus.
Why is new student orientation important to attend? It's an opportunity to make new friends while learning about our campus so that new students and first-time freshmen do not feel lost in the first week of their first semester.
Who is the new student orientation for? New student orientation is mandatory for all incoming, first-time freshmen, whether you live on or off campus.

- Select Self Service
- Select On-campus Housing
- Select Lake Region State College
- Your profile will show up at this stage, including your room assignment, roommates, and meal plan.
When does my meal plan start? Meal plans start orientation weekend.
When can I buy books? Students may purchase their books and charge them against their student account one week before the start of each semester.
When do classes start? The Monday of orientation after 4 pm. The first full day of classes will be on the Tuesday following orientation.
