What is Dual Credit?
Dual Credit, or Early Entry, allows high school sophomores, juniors, and seniors to take college courses. When students complete a course, they may also earn high school credit for it.

How to Enroll
Complete the online Lake Region State College application. First-time applicants must pay a $35 application fee.
- Complete a Dual Credit Registration form and FERPA form. Submit these to your high school administrator (principal, counselor, or dual credit coordinator). Homeschool students or those taking early courses should contact Colden Hutton for the forms.
- Provide an updated high school transcript to Lake Region State College.
- Students enrolling in English or math courses must provide a qualifying test score.

All Lake Region State dual credit/early entry students must claim their NDUS account to access courses.
Go to lrsc.edu > Student Life > Resources > Computer Help Center. Under Your NDUS Account, select ‘Click here for NDUS Account information’ and scroll to NDUS Account.
- Claim My Account
- Watch the short video and click ‘Claim your NDUS Account.’
- Enter your EMPLID and birthdate (EMPLID is emailed by LRSC or your dual credit administrator).
- Complete the Acceptable Use Quiz.
- Follow the on-screen instructions.

Lake Region State College and the North Dakota University System protect student information with DUO multi-factor authentication. This has been required since January 6, 2020, for accessing Office 365 and ConnectND/Campus Solutions.

- Sign in using:
- UserID: firstname.lastname NOTE: Common names may include a middle initial, name, or a digit.
- Password: same as your NDUS account password
- Go to Student Homepage

- View your tuition/fee charges: Tuition is due 12 days after the semester begins and can be paid in person, by phone, by mail, or via Campus connection.
- View 1098-T Tuition Statement: For tax purposes.

NDUS ND-Dual-Credit Tuition Scholarship
NDUS ND-Dual-Credit Tuition Scholarship
The Dual-Credit Tuition Scholarship rewards students for completing dual-credit coursework in high school. Awards range from $250 to $750, based on the number of courses completed. Learn more here.
Eligibility for North Dakota resident:
- Graduated from a ND high school, a bordering state high school under N.D.C.C. ch. 15.1-29, a nonpublic high school in a bordering state while living with a custodial parent in ND, or completed a home education program under N.D.C.C. ch. 15.1-23.
- Completed at least one dual-credit course with a minimum grade of D. The course must be from a public, private, or tribal institution with a physical presence in the state.
- Enrolled in a certificate or degree program at an accredited institution. The institution must be public, private, or tribal with a physical presence in the state.
- Completed at least one semester, quarter, or term at an accredited institution.
