Download & Install YuJa Software Station
No download is required to simply view video content on YuJa, but before recording a video with YuJa for the first time, you must download and install the YuJa Software Capture application for Mac/PC. Many features, including recording, are also available on the mobile app for phone/tablet. Using screen capture and/or your webcam and microphone, this application creates a recording which may be shared/viewed via emailed link, on Blackboard, or directly on the LRSC YuJa site. Please see System Requirements page for more information.
You will not need to install the YuJa Software Capture each time you want to create a recording, however, you will want to make sure you are using the most updated version. Using an older version may cause sync issues with your recordings. It is recommended to uninstall the older version and install the latest version for the best performance. If you are using a Windows computer, once you have updated to the latest version, you will receive a notification when there is a new version. This currently is not available on Mac computers.
Managing Media
The Manage Media includes a suite of tools to organize, store, and manage media inside YuJa. Content as the ability to be organized into Media Channels or searchable media collections, shared, uploaded, captioned, and edited using the Video Editor.
See the Managing Media Overview help article or view the Media Management video for details.
How to use Video Proctoring
YuJa Exam Proctoring allows the student to record video/audio and their computer screen while completing an exam. The recording is securely allocated to a centralized instructor folder which will avoid distribution of the exam recording by the student.
The instructor need to enable the Proctor setting within their course. See the Enabling Exam Proctoring help article for details.
