Download & Install YuJa Software Station

You do not need to download anything to view videos on YuJa. However, before recording for the first time, download and install the YuJa Software Capture application for Mac or PC. Many features, including recording, are also available on the mobile app. Using screen capture, your webcam, and microphone, the application creates recordings that can be shared via email link, Blackboard, or the LRSC YuJa site. See the System Requirements page for more information.

You do not need to install YuJa Software Capture each time you record, but ensure you are using the latest version. Older versions may cause sync issues, so uninstall outdated versions and install the latest for best performance. On Windows, you will receive update notifications once the latest version is installed. This feature is not available on Mac computers.

Managing Media

Manage Media provides tools to organize, store, and manage content in YuJa. Media can be organized into channels or searchable collections, shared, uploaded, captioned, and edited using the Video Editor. See the Managing Media Overview help article or the Media Management video for details.

How to use Video Proctoring

YuJa Exam Proctoring allows students to record video, audio, and their computer screen while completing an exam. The recording is securely stored in a centralized instructor folder to prevent student distribution.

Instructors must enable the Proctor setting within their course. See the Enabling Exam Proctoring help article for details.

For using Respondus LockDown Browser and YuJa Proctoring simultaneously for Blackboard exams, see the Knowledgebase Article.
