DECA

DECA is a global organization that supports students in becoming confident leaders and forward-thinking entrepreneurs, particularly in marketing, finance, hospitality, and management. In North Dakota, DECA has a strong presence, with programs offered in 24 high schools and nine colleges. These programs play an important role in helping students build the skills and experience needed for meaningful and successful careers.

At both the high school and college levels, DECA focuses on leadership development, community involvement, career exploration, and social responsibility. Students who join DECA contribute through membership fees at the local, state, and national levels, gaining access to a wide range of opportunities. One of DECA’s most valuable offerings is the chance to compete in career-based events, where members apply their knowledge and creativity at local, state, and national competitions. These real-world experiences allow students to build their confidence, sharpen their skills, and make professional connections that often lead to future success and recognition within their chosen industries.
