LRSC partners with Devils Lake Chamber on workforce recruitment and retention grants

The Devils Lake Area Chamber of Commerce recently received two grants and is excited to partner with Lake Region State College (LRSC) on initiatives funded by these grants.
These grants are provided by the state of North Dakota through the Regional Workforce Impact Program (RWIP) and will run until June 30, 2025.

Peace Officer Training graduation Dec. 6

Twelve students are set to graduate December 6th from LRSC's Grand Forks Peace Officer Training program.

The ceremony will take place at 11:00 am in the Grand Forks Public Safety Center. 

This is the 113th graduating class for the Peace Officer Training program. Lake Region State College has delivered its Peace Officer Training program in Grand Forks since 2010. Similar academies run each summer in West Fargo and each spring at the LRSC Campus.

President Darling announces retirement

Lake Region State College President Doug Darling has announced his retirement effective June 30, 2025.

“This was not an easy decision for me. I love everything about Lake Region State College, especially its faculty, staff, students, alumni, and friends. All of us do great work together,” Darling said. “I couldn’t have dreamed 36 years ago that I would have the honor of leading such a great team at a wonderful institution that continues to change students’ lives every day.”
