Designed to house a total of 94 residents. The majority of rooms are double occupancy.

South HallSouth Hall

South Hall is designed to accommodate 36 residents if filled to double occupancy.

Gilliland Hall

Gilliland Hall is designed to accommodate 64 residents if filled to double occupancy.

  • Suite-style bathrooms and showers

Safety and security -- Security cameras monitor entrances, parking lots, and hallways. Resident Hall Assistants monitor activity in the halls and are there to help students get involved, meet people, and guide them to campus resources.

Parking -- Handicap parking is available with the appropriate permits.  Outdoor electrical outlets are available for rent, $100 per year, on a first come first serve basis.

Furnished rooms --The number of single rooms is limited and reserved for returning students on a first-come, first-serve basis. Otherwise, rooms are double occupancy and include:

  • Twin (extra long) beds
  • Dressers
  • Closet space
  • Wireless internet access -- available free of charge to each room.
    • Students should bring their computer.

ADA-accessible rooms -- rooms and bathrooms modified to accommodate students with disabilities are available in each Resident hall upon request.  Students must indicate this information on the Housing Application.

Kitchenette --

  • Includes:  Stove, microwave, refrigerator, sink, dining area
  • Students should bring: Dishes, silverware, cups, glass pots, pans, and other utensils

Dining Services -- Students living in the resident halls must have a meal plan. For more information, please refer to housing contacts. Meals eaten will be deleted from their R-Card (Student ID card).

Lounge -- Community atmosphere quickly develops in each hall, and you become a family when you are here. A flat-screen TV and comfy couches are great for "get-togethers" after a long day and homework.

Laundry -- washers, dryers, and ironing boards are available in each hall.  Students put money on their R-Card (Student ID card) and swipe to pay for laundry.

  • Students should bring a laundry basket, soap, fabric softener, etc.

Bookstore -- offers just about anything a student would need:

  • Laundry supplies
  • Health and beauty-- toothbrush, shampoo, lotions, tissues, etc
  • Clothing and LRSC apparel 
  • Stamps and UPS shipping
  • Sandwiches, fruit, beverages, and snacks
  • Royal Java Coffee Bar and cookies
  • Gifts, clothes, textbooks of course, and lots more.

Mail services -- each student is provided with a mailbox.  Mail service is provided Monday through Friday. During vacation and recess periods mail will be held for delivery until the break is over. The President's Office can mail small packages for students via U.S. Post or FedEx.  The bookstore handles UPS shipping.

Computer labs -- Campus computer labs are quickly accessible from the Resident Halls.  New Horizon Computer Lab, located next to the library is open 24 hours, seven days a week.

Vending -- Vending machines are located throughout the campus to meet your anytime needs.

  • Linens: pillows, pillowcases, blankets, sheets, bedspreads, towels, washcloths
  • Clothes hangers
  • Toiletries, hygiene supplies
  • Removable adhesive for hanging posters and pictures
  • Wastebasket
  • Iron

  • Electronics: computers, gaming devices, radios, stereos, tape recorders, TV/Blu-Ray, etc 
  • Wall decorations: posters, photos, etc.  No nails/staples
  • Floor coverings: throw rugs
