Program Description
LAUNCH! is a partnership between Lake Region State College (LRSC) and the University of North Dakota (UND) located on the UND campus in Grand Forks, ND. The program is designed to serve students who are not yet eligible for admission to UND but meet eligibility requirements for LRSC. These eligibility requirements are subject to change.
Students who choose to participate in the LAUNCH! Program will enroll as full-time LRSC students and will take a limited number of prescribed UND classes. Students who successfully complete 24 transferable credits and earn a 2.0 grade point average may be considered for admission as degree-seeking transfer students to UND.
LAUNCH! students may participate in student life, housing, student services, organizations, facilities, and activities (except Division I sports) available to every degree-seeking UND student.
The program offers heightened academic support and unmatched personal attention. Courses are small in size, offering an opportunity for the instructor to assist students. Tutoring times are built into the schedule and additional tutoring is available by the Student Success Center on the UND campus. Intensive advisement is offered to each of the students and the LAUNCH! Coordinator is located on the UND campus to offer assistance to students.

Program Requirements
Students must complete a minimum of 24 credits of 100- or 200-level classes with a GPA of 2.0 or higher to be considered for transfer admission to UND. Students must receive advisement from the LAUNCH! Coordinator before registering for courses. Please note: ASC courses will not transfer to UND. ASC courses are developmental courses students may be placed in based on ACT scores. Students required to complete an ASC course must earn a C or better to enroll in MATH 103 or ENGL 110.
