Students are encouraged to submit their pieces for an annual publication of student work.
Shorelines is an annual publication that showcases student writings, art, photography, and more.
This year’s edition of Shorelines will be its 25th or Silver Anniversary, says Shorelines Coordinator Teresa Tande.
"There is no specific theme. We are seeking good writing, art work, etc..."
Items to submit include:
• Essays
• Poems
• Narratives
• Arguments
• Photos [highest resolution possible as these pictures will most likely be re-sized/made larger]
• Art
• Ceramics
Tande said the writings can be from class assignments, and not just in English class.
"I know our on-campus sociology classes do weekly observations that I think could be developed into some interesting prose or poetry. Likewise, a current events class might generate some good writing," Tande added.
The possibilities with writing, art, and photography are unlimited.
Please help in getting others fired up about this chance to become a published author, which looks great on ANY resume’! Encourage those who you think have something interesting to say—or show-- and guide them to completion.
A committee will review the selections and choose those that meet the standards of a literary/artistic magazine. From those selections, the magazine will be produced in Spring 2019.
A submission form will be posted online soon.
