Lake Region State College is making plans to welcome back students with a vareity of activiteis.
On Saturday, August 19th, students will start moving into their residences on campus. Offices including the Business Office, Bookstore, Financial Aid, TRiO, Student Services, IT, Information Desk, and other departments will be open from 1:00 to 3:00 pm. Students will have a Fish Fry Saturday evening followed by a movie in Robert Fawcett Auditorium and then glow in the dark frisbee. Orientation events start on Sunday, August 20th with events for students to get to know each other better and updates on student services such as IT and counseling. Students will have a cookout with the National Guard and then enjoy outdoor games and karaoke.
On Monday, August 21st students will participate in additional orientation activities. Classes with a start time of 4:00 pm or later will be held Monday. The first full day of classes is Tuesday, August 22nd.
Student activities for welcome week continues the 22nd with the first home volleyball game at 7:00 pm in the Sports Center. A Royal Feast picnic for students will take place before the game and there will be prizes and games for students throughout the night. The night will conclude with a bonfire at dusk.
