Royal pride was displayed during Lake Region State College’s annual Key Event fundraising auction Oct. 22nd.
The Community College Foundation is pleased to announce that this year’s Key Event raised $115,000. Each year, the Key Event raises money that the Community College Foundation uses to support the college’s scholarship program, athletic program, Paul Hoghaug Library, and other special projects.
“It was great to see such community support at the Key Event. The pandemic caused us to cancel last year’s events, but we were excited to bring this event back to the Lake Region,” said Dr. Doug Darling, LRSC President. “Once again the Lake Region stepped up and showed generous support of LRSC and its students. It’s amazing to see such consistent support and giving.”
This year, guests of the annual Key Event stepped into the new Hofstad Ag Center to showcase Royal Pride and the agricultural community. About 275 people attended the event.
“The evening was fantastic and we were delighted to showcase our new Hofstad Ag Center and also highlight some of LRSC’s programs through the night,” said Elonda Nord, Executive Director of the Community College Foundation. “The community came out for a great cause with giving hearts. We can’t thank those who support this event and LRSC enough.”
