College for Kids at Lake Region State College will be taking this year off due to the COVID-19 situation.
The program, which has a huge hands-on component, would be hard to replicate in an online environment. Organizers are using the time to create an even bigger and better experience in 2021.
“College for Kids is a great summer opportunity and adventure for kids who have completed grades K-5. We enjoy having the young students on our campus, but canceling is the right decision in light of current events,” said Erin Wood, director of college relations at LRSC.
The program, which has been going on for more than 25 years is a fun interactive experience for kids to use their imagination, ask questions, think creatively, experiment, meet new friends and experience a small taste of college.
