The Community College Foundation is pleased to announce a final tally for the Key Event fundraising event. This year, the Key Event raised over $70,000 to support scholarships and special projects at the college.
Guests of the annual Key Event stepped onto the midway ready for a County Fair with a Royal Flair Oct. 18th.
“Our fair event was fantastic,” said Elonda Nord, Executive Director of the Community College Foundation. “The community came out for a great cause and fun night of entertainment.”
The County Fair with a Royal Flair Key Event was festive with around 300 people in attendance bidding for auction items. A few new activities were added to the night including table sponsors and buy it now pieces. The night closed out with Slamabama who played for partygoers until 12:30 am.
“This community is so generous in its support of Lake Region State College and its students. It’s amazing to see that giving sustained year after year,” said Dr. Doug Darling, LRSC president.
Each year, the Key Event raises money that the Community College Foundation uses to support the college’s scholarship program, athletic program, Paul Hoghaug Library, and other special projects. For more information on the Key Event or donating to Lake Region State College call (701) 662-1598.
